2,684 years ago humanity left Earth behind on large colony ships. The sun had been dying for more than 300 years so humans began to build large ships that could carry a massive amount of people along with the few supply ships they could get. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room for everyone still left on the planet so a selection was made. 30,000 were selected on top of the 30,000 that were chosen to operate, lead, and maintain the various ships. This means that half of the people were chosen to fill various roles on board the ships while the other half were merely randomly selected. Most of those were children who would grow up to take over the ship and continue to teach future children. They were very careful not to let the number get too high over the 60,000 limit.

Nearly a thousand years into their journey, they came across a new species - a violent, savage species (Xarok) that destroyed two of their ships before the humans had any chance to defend themselves. They managed to scare off the aliens for a long period of time. As time continued to pass, humans began to evolve. Not all at once but a child or two here and there. They developed such abilities like telekinesis, empathy, pyrokinesis and other such abilities. It started off small, being able to light a candle or lift a dice but became stronger.

1,998 years after leaving Earth, the alien race came back and destroyed several of their supply ships. Enough that they were forced to land on a nearby planet after exactly two thousand years of traveling through space. It was very similar to Earth but for all of the survivors, it was the first time they'd ever walked on a planet. What started out as 60,000 survivors was now down to 45,093 over the years. They discovered that they weren't the only intelligent race on the planet (it was a very human-like in appearance) but the species was relatively friendly (Vesun), teaching them foods they could eat, animals they could hunt or ones to avoid. They even helped them build some sturdy structures, nothing special but it had walls and a roof. In return, the humans shared their knowledge of technology. All over, technology is limited to some electricity and a communication system that's usually saved for emergencies.

It's been almost 690 years since they landed. Villages have been built all over the planet, humans have mated with the natives and created a hybrid between the two and solidifying the alliance they had. Not only is their anatomy slightly different, but their powers have also evolved to the next level.
